Sri Lankan actor in Sri Lankan cinema, stage drama and television.[1]
Highly versatile actor with a career spanning more than four decades,
Rathnayake is a multi-talented personnel also working as a script
writer and film producer.[2]He directed the stage drama Ran
Salakunu.[3]Rathnayake started his film career with 1975 film
Amaraneeya Adare directed by Dayananda Jayawardane.[5] Then he
contributed in several critically acclaimed films such as Suddilage
Kathawa,[6] Surabidena, Sathkampa, and Parawarthana.[7]
